Cutting through concrete rings

The team at D-Drill & Sawing’s office in Coventry has supported a Redditch construction firm on a site in Towcester.

D-Drill was called in to create a 260mm diameter hole in a concrete manhole ring to allow for pipework to be connected to the ring.

The skilled engineers mounted a Hilti drill stand and motor onto the ring and cut through the 1200mm preformed manhole ring to support the development of a new housing scheme on the site.

Robert Edgington, planning manager at D-Drill & Sawing, said: “We have a great relationship with this main contractor and work nationwide with them through our other branches too.

“They know that they can call upon us to provide a great service, in any area of the UK and deliver exactly what they need thanks to our skilled engineers and best-in-class equipment.

“We carry out this kind of drilling on a whole range of different concrete rings of varying sizes, allowing pipework to be connected up to them, which is essential.”
